Due to COVID-19, many collision centres and repair facilities are now taking extra precaution and care when cleaning customers’ vehicles. Nissan Canada and INFINITI Canada have issued position statements to provide proper procedures for cleaning and disinfecting touchscreens and radios in Nissan and INFINITI vehicles. Ford Motor Company has published a Coronavirus recommended disinfection procedure summary. Out of an abundance of caution, Ford Motor Company recommends collision centers institute a disinfection process for their customer’s vehicles. The disinfecting products have been selected for their compatibility with Ford’s vehicle interiors and effectiveness against the COVID-19. These additional disinfecting steps will create a safer experience for both the customer and center employee.
